About Melissa
I specialize in financial statement audits and federal compliance audits for not-for-profit organizations, local governments, and for-profit housing entities. I work closely with audit teams and clients to complete engagements efficiently, accurately, and in line with professional standards. Before joining Redpath, I served as a Supervisory Auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), leading audit teams conducting performance and compliance audits of government contractors across a five-state region.
Education: B.A., Accounting, Concordia College, Moorhead, MN; M.B.A., Accounting, Keller Graduate School of Management
Professional Affiliations & Community: Member, Nonprofit Financial Group (Twin Cities Chapter); Member, Minnesota Government Finance Officers Association (MNGFOA); Volunteer, high school band boosters. Former volunteer, local ministry finance team.
Fun Fact: I love music! I play the piano, violin, handbells, sing, and was a music minor in college. In my free time I also enjoy cooking and recently took up knitting as a hobby. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband, daughters, and pets.
